Nancy Mitchell
Low Pressure
He’s drunk, but not
yet fallen. Cold
wind whistling Dixie
through the split
window not fixed
since he put his fist to it.
She washes dishes
in the dusky kitchen, light
bulb in every socket
burned out but one.
