Inkyoo Lee

Autobiography

Cast into the hospital-
white sky, the little
pebble kept rising
against the unwanted air;
the family called it
a blessing, as if it would
ripple the clouds, like prayer
never did, and bring down
rain on their crackling
home, a few streets
and years away, without
crashing into the roof
and letting the dead
face of God peek through
a tiny opening.
